Vijay Srinivasan MBBS, MD, FAAP, FCCM is a pediatric intensivist at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology, Critical Care and Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Srinivasan serves as Advisory Dean to medical students at the Perelman School of Medicine. In addition to his clinical responsibilities as a pediatric intensivist, Dr. Srinivasan is actively involved in research and quality improvement programs in critical illness endocrinopathies and nutrition to improve outcomes in critically ill children. He co-founded and co-leads the pediatric ICU Nutrition Team at CHOP in partnership with nurse practitioner scientists, nurses and dietitians to enhance nutrition support for critically ill children. His research focuses on stress hyperglycemia and nutrition support in pediatric critical illness with his published works being widely cited and recognized with awards from the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM), the American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN), and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). He is an elected Fellow of the American College of Critical Care Medicine (FCCM), and Fellow of the AAP (FAAP). Dr. Srinivasan serves as Member, SCCM Pediatric Section Steering Committe and is an Executive Committee member of the AAP Section on Critical Care (SOCC). As Chair of the SCCM Pediatric QI Section and the Pediatric Quality and Safety Subcommittee for the AAP SOCC, he has developed an innovative webinar series to foster and grow collaboration in quality improvement and patient safety across multiple pediatric intensive care units. He is a member of the Critical Care Congress Program Committee for SCCM. He is a member of the Editorial Board for Pediatric Critical Care Medicine.
