Adrian Wong, PharmD, MPH, BCCCP (he/him/his) is an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at MCPHS University, with a clinical site in the medical ICU at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. He completed his Doctor of Pharmacy from Northeastern University and a Master of Public Health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He completed a pharmacy residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and a critical care pharmacy residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He then completed an Outcomes Research and Pharmacy Informatics fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital and MCPHS University.
His research interests include alcohol withdrawal, clinical decision support, informatics, and patient safety. He currently serves as a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM) Drug Shortages and Medication Safety Committee and was previously Chair of the Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacology (CPP) Research Committee. He has published in the area of medication-related CDS overrides within the ICU, specifically evaluating the harm associated with inappropriate overrides. He has been awarded the 2017 SCCM Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacology Innovations in Patient and Medication Safety award for his work.
