This session will review traditional and new biomarkers in the setting of COVID-19, sepsis, and post-cardiac arrest.

Review the known immunologic consequences of COVID-19 and successes and failures in targeting these mediators
Compare traditional resuscitation using lactate to guide outcomes in patients with shock with renin-based resuscitation
Discuss currently available tools for neuroprognostication after cardiac arrest, their limitations, and new strategies on the horizon
