The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the importance of critical care and has led to unprecedented strain on critical care practitioners. This session will discuss the effects of COVID-19 on the critical care team and steps that can be taken to heal the critical care workforce.

Learning Objectives:

Explore and relate to the human side of providing critical care during a pandemic and beyond, including feelings of anxiety and fear and the importance of a culture of workplace support for the individual
Examine risk factors for burnout and identify techniques and strategies to address them
Integrate the concepts of resilience into the ICU and innovate programming that supports a culture of cohesiveness with the overarching goal of improving patient care
