This session will review acute kidney injury (AKI) and the potential clinical consequences on morbidity and mortality. There will be a review of patients who are post-surgical and diagnosed with sepsis and their risk for AKI. The session will also include a discussion of biomarkers, early risk assessment, rapid management, and current diagnostic approaches.
