The importance of generating a culture of patient safety is well known at individual, team, hospital, and healthcare system levels to reduce errors and improve interprofessional team dynamics, thereby improving patient outcomes. We can translate this attention to safety into creating environments for cultural competence, cultural safety, and environments supportive of diversity.
