Mayank Sharma, M.B.B.S is currently an Interal Medicine resident at the Florida State University in Sarasota, Florida. He is a former research fellow at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota (2016-2021). He completed medical school from University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS), Delhi University in New Delhi, India. During his time at the Mayo Clinic, Mayank was involved in multiple prostpective and retrospective research projects in the field of Gastroenterology and Crtical Care Medicine. While working with the VIRUS: COVID-19 registry, Mayank was involved with data automation menthods and data cleaning from multiple sites nationally.
As a young investigator, Mayank has co-authored more than 15 peer reviewed publications and is the recipient of the young investigator award at Digestive Disease Week 2017-2019. Current research interest include big data analysis, epidimeology in medicine, meta-analyses, liver transplant, medical education, equality in medicine. Mayank is also interested in mentorship and teaching, living with the philosophy "when one teaches, two learn" and involved with the same at his current training program. Mayank also has a keen interest in Public Speaking and is a part of Toastmasters International public speaking organization.
